Happy Friday, Fairfield!
A lot of new faces here! Happy to have you here and welcome back to The Fairfield Weekend — your free weekly guide to everything new and happening in town. No fluff, no filler, just the things you need to know.
Let’s get into it.
Coming Soon
Three new spots are heading to Fairfield — and they’re worth keeping an eye on.
Kouzina Greek Taverna — Sanford Street

If you’ve been to Kouzina in Stamford, you already know. The Greek taverna — which earned a feature on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives — is bringing its menu to Fairfield. Think traditional Greek dishes, a lively atmosphere, and some of the best Mediterranean food in Fairfield County. Stamford locals have been raving about this place for years, and now we won’t have to make the drive. More details to come as the opening gets closer.
Kneads Bakery — 1916 Post Road

Westport’s beloved artisan bakery is expanding to Fairfield. Kneads was founded by husband-and-wife duo Daniel and Brittany Moreno — both trained at the Culinary Institute of America — and they’ve built a serious following for their sourdough, croissants, and breakfast sandwiches. What sets them apart is their onsite stone mill, where they grind their own flour for a true farm-to-table approach. If you haven’t tried their stuff yet, you’re about to get a lot more chances.
Momotaro Sushi — 1795 Post Road
All-you-can-eat sushi is coming to Fairfield. Momotaro Sushi is setting up shop on Post Road with what sounds like a dream concept — fresh sushi, all you can eat. Details are still coming together, but this is one to watch. We’ll keep you posted as the opening date gets closer.
This Weekend: March 20–22
Here’s what’s going on around town this weekend.
Fairfield Women’s Basketball — NCAA Tournament (Saturday, 2:00 PM, ESPN)

This is the big one. The Fairfield Stags women’s basketball team is in March Madness as an 11-seed, taking on 6-seed Notre Dame in the first round. They went 28-4 this season and won the MAAC Championship — their highest seed since the bracket expanded to 64 teams. The game is at Ohio State’s campus, so grab some friends, find a spot with a TV, and cheer them on. Tip-off is at 2:00 PM on ESPN.
Fairfield Women’s Lacrosse vs. Siena (Saturday, 1:00 PM)
Head to Rafferty Stadium on Fairfield University’s campus for a home lacrosse game. The Stags take on Siena at 1:00 PM — free to attend and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Max Creek at Fairfield Theatre Company (Friday & Saturday, 8:00 PM)
Max Creek brings their jam-band energy to StageOne at FTC for two nights. If you’re into live music, this is your weekend move.
Glow Dance Party at The Warehouse (Friday, 8:00 PM)
MC Paul Herman and the Press Play Team are hosting a glow dance party at The Warehouse at FTC. Something different, something fun.
Fairfield Winter Farmers Market — LAST WEEKEND (Sunday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
This is it — the final weekend of the winter farmers market at Penfield Pavilion. Stock up on local produce, baked goods, and artisan products before the spring season kicks in. Don’t sleep on this one.
Spotlight: Cosetta Paninoteca & Pizzeria

If you haven’t been to Cosetta yet, fix that this weekend.
Located on Post Road, Cosetta is the kind of place where everything on the menu is good — and that’s not an exaggeration. Their sandwiches are next-level (19 options to choose from), the pizza is exactly what you want it to be, and maybe the best kept secret? The brownies…..Nobody expects the brownies to be that good, but they genuinely might be the best in town.
Here’s the thing most people don’t know: Cosetta opens at 6:00 AM. That means breakfast sandwiches and fresh coffee before most of Fairfield is even awake. Whether you’re grabbing a quick morning bite or swinging by for lunch, you literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
Seriously, just go.
